GBSM will present the results of their analysis of the various water surveys they’ve researched, their analysis of other water communications campaigns inside and outside of Colorado, and most importantly, the results of the survey which they asked us to complete.

Additionally, we will be joined by Lori Weigel, a pollster from Public Opinion Strategies, who recently did a survey of 2200 voters in five western states (of which Colorado was one) to examine Western voters’ attitudes toward a range of conservation and environmental issues. The survey had some interesting findings that were directly and indirectly related to water. Lori will be a great addition to our meeting as she provides her perspective on this poll as well as the challenge we face trying to raise the consciousness of Coloradans about the value of water. Lori has polled extensively for conservation organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, the Trust for Public Land, National Wildlife Federation, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Wilderness Society, Smart Growth America, the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, and the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University.
