Webinar: Piloting a Smart Water System

Join Colorado WaterWise for the first webinar of 2019! Fort Collins and Rachio will be discussing their Smart Water System pilot program they worked on in summer 2018. This event is free to all but please register as space is limited.

In 2018, Fort Collins Utilities piloted a Smart Water System program in partnership with Rachio. Participants received the Rachio 3 controller and wireless flow meter. Participants were only required to cover the cost of installation, performed by a single landscape and irrigation company in Fort Collins. The program launched in late July, so this webinar will focus on the program set-up, goals of the program, initial lessons learned, and next steps. Rachio and Fort Collins will also take a forward-looking view and discuss future demand reduction and response opportunities given this infrastructure of controllers and flow meters. While similar programs have popped up in California and Texas, this program is the first of its kind in Colorado.
