2016 Cannabis Sustainability Symposium

The Cannabis Sustainability Symposium, hosted by the Organic Cannabis Association with in-kind support from Denver Environmental Health, will be held on October 26th, 2016 at the Colorado Convention Center. This one day event will educate attendees on the latest tools, techniques and technologies for efficient and safe cannabis production. Agenda

The organizers, the Cannabis Sustainability Work Group, are convening top experts from across the country to present on the industry’s key environmental challenges, including energy efficiency, water management, and waste minimization. The Symposium is also an opportunity for networking and developing new collaborative opportunities to further sustainability initiatives in 2017 and beyond.

Colorado WaterWise's board member, Michael Thomas, of Denver Water will participate in a panel discussion centering on Water/ Wastewater. 

Session Description:  Learn the environmental and economic costs associated with various water application and filtration methods, and how new technologies can reduce your water and wastewater bills. John LeaCox of LCZ Consulting will demonstrate how automation can reduce consumption, eliminate errors and improve output and Scott Reach with RDI will explain the practicalities of implementing water recycling systems. Michael Thomas of Denver Water will put cannabis production in context with Colorado’s water challenges.
